What we do and don't store
Plain language, no legalese. If anything below changes, we'll update this page and date the change.
Your resume data
- We never receive your uploaded PDF. When you upload a resume to the PDF to Resume or ATS Score tool, the file is read entirely in your browser using a local PDF parser. The bytes of the file are never uploaded.
- Only the extracted text is sent to our AI parser so it can return structured fields. We don't log this text, don't share it with third parties beyond the model provider, and don't keep it after the request completes.
- Your edited resume is stored on your device. The builder saves drafts to your browser's localStorage. You can export, import, or delete them at any time. Once we ship accounts, signing in lets you sync up to 5 resumes across devices — those are stored encrypted at rest in our database, scoped strictly to your user account.
- No tracking of your content. We don't read what's in your resume to advertise to you or sell to anyone. There's no "share with employers" backdoor.
PDF tools (merge, split, compress, sign, etc.)
All 37 PDF tools run 100% in your browser. Files you drop into them never leave your device. The tools work offline once the page is loaded.
AI features
Three features call our AI provider (Groq): ATS Score, PDF to Resume, and inline AI assist inside the builder. We send only the text you've asked us to analyze. We don't store the request or the response. Rate limits prevent abuse but are scoped per IP, not per identity.
Analytics & cookies
We use minimal aggregate analytics to understand which tools are popular. We don't set advertising cookies and we don't sell data.
Accounts (when you sign in)
Signing in with email, Google, or LinkedIn stores your name, email, and avatar so we can show you your saved resumes. We don't post to LinkedIn or read messages on your behalf. You can delete your account from your profile page; deletion removes your resumes from our database within 24 hours.
